Ogden Christmas Village and Lights

Jeramie and I took the girls to see the lights and Christmas Village display on Main Street in Ogden the other night.

And now I'm going to get real in this post...

Amy, you were so naughty.  Like, really, really naughty.  I'm not going to sugar coat this post and make it look like we had a magically amazing time.  It was terrible.  I was miserable.  Jeramie was angry.  Meg was oblivious.  And Amy, you Amy, had a great time, because you did whatever, and went where ever you wanted when you wanted.  We spent the whole time chasing you around and being frustrated with you; doing that grit our teeth while yelling at you under our breath thing.  Ugh!  Terrible!!!

Okay.  End rant.  One day, Amy May, I hope you look back on this with your own little kids, and have to explain to them that you too were a crazy, out-of-control child once too. :)
In all, it was beautiful and enjoyable for a few minutes.  We were very happy to get home, get baths done, and ship the girls off to bed.

It started off well...when the children were strapped down to their chairs.

Brewing evil little thoughts...

Three pictures were I was actually able to get the girls in the vicinity of one another.

So cute.

Play Date with Austen!!!

Amy had a play date with a friend from pre-school last year.  He is a sweetie named Austen, and they have missed each other so much.  We met at McDonald's, and stayed for 2 hours!  They even exchanged little Christmas presents.  They are too cute!  Austen's big sister, Addy, joined in the fun too.  What a great day!

Christmas Tree Jubilee

Here is a picture of the girls and I at the Christmas Tree Jubilee.
This is a fundraiser for special needs children in our county.  People decorate and donate Christmas trees and wreaths to sell, and this charity is able to purchase big ticket items the kids might not otherwise be able to afford.  They also have local elementary school choirs singing.  It was a fun morning activity to check out.

Smartie Pants Amy

Amy will be in kindergarten next year, and let me tell you...the girl is so ready.  She is super smart.  She can already sound out words, write, and do basic adding.  I know- she's amazing. :)  Proud mama, right here.

Amy wrote the word "apple"

and her Aunt Kelly's name.

Sisters...

Ugh...these girls love each other so much...

Meg these days...

Meg moved into a big girl bed last weekend.  She did super well with it.  I think it's because she sleeps on a mat at school.  Here is our big girl in her big bed.

It was Hat Day at school Friday.  Thursday night I dug out my crazy hats because I wasn't sure if I wanted to go casual hat or crazy hat.  Meg found my monster hat and fell in love with it.  She now affectionately refers to it as "mine!!" and wears it often.
